Noah Face Time's with my family at least every other day. He
knows how to make calls and answer them (and hang up mid-call). The other day,
I asked him if he wanted to talk to nana and started to sing "row row your
boat". Nana sings that to him every single time she talks to him or sees
him, it's their special song. He jumped up off the floor so fast and brought
his iPad to me to connect the call.
I love that Noah understands these little ways of
communicating, he's able to make sense of pseudonyms and multiple labels for
the same thing. These are things I
feared would never be possible for him.
Tonight after my sister Maci called and asked us to FT, he
handed me the iPad and we made the call. We got to see Nana, Aunt Mae, Aunt Chi
Chi, Gentry (Happy 6th Birthday sweet girl), Ace, and Destiny. After Noah and
Nana shared their moment, Ace made his way over and asked me if Noah was
talking yet. I said "No, but he is making more Ma-Mo sounds now". Ace
asked what else Noah could say, so I told him other babble noises. Ace went on
to sing "row row your boat" in babble sounds to Noah. Noah smiled, clapped, and blew kisses the entire time. Ace then
proceeded to tell me that he prayed each day for Noah to talk soon.
Ace communicated with Noah in a very meaningful way. His
intuition and creative thinking amazed me. Ace, your heart amazes me.
I am so thankful for the deep love that Noah receives. I am
so thankful for the FT calls each few days to keep connected to those that he
loves. I have no doubt that Noah recognizes those who have invested so deeply
in his life.
Thank you, you know who you are.

This made me smile. Ace has a sweet sensitive side that is rarely seen. But without a shadow of a doubt, I know he has a deep love for Noah and asks about him often and always remembers to pray for him to talk soon. :) We love you Noah Bean!
